Final exams got you down? Don’t worry, we are here to help! Studying for exams can be overwhelming but don’t worry, here are a few pro tips to keep you on the right track and help you ace those finals.
Keeping your body and mind fit is always important and even more so during intense study secessions. In addition to staying properly hydrated, exercising, and getting the right amount of sleep, (between 7 to 9 hours each night), eating healthy is vital. Foods rich in antioxidants such as berries, protein-packed foods such as nuts, avocados, and fish, and dark chocolate, yes, you can even indulge, are what you should be consuming this week. Stay away from foods with trans-fat such as fast food and avoid sugary drinks and caffeine. They may give you the energy boost you crave but it’s not long-lasting. For a refreshing, nutrient-rich snack, visit Dr. Juice on the Ground Floor of Building B.
Once you have scheduled your study times and nourished your body, it will be time to begin to study. Finding the right place to study is important. Your space should be quiet, comfortable, and free of distractions. There are multiple areas across campus for students to bunker down and crack the books. The Shaw Library offers a relaxing and serene study environment free of noise and distractions. In addition to the Shaw Library, the Area 51, Ruby, and Art lounges are fantastic spots for students to get their studies on.
Good Luck to all of you on your final exams! We wish you all the best.
