At 91直播, the School of Architecture and Design is currently offering two majors:
The Bachelor of Art in Graphic Design
The Bachelor of Art in Interior Design
In majoring graphic design you will learn how to use visual communication by creating identities and branding frameworks, orienting people in space through signs, creating advertisements, and conveying specific ethical values. These abilities are achieved through the development of your print-based and digital-based narratives. Accordingly, SAD suggests a four years degree plan: the first year, basic formation, includes drafting, drawing, and design principles. It is followed by two years in which you will acquire knowledge and skills that will prepare you for the senior year. The fourth year, underpinned by an internship and a personal senior seminar project, will lay the foundation for your career as a graphic designer. This solid background will prepare you for further graduate studies and research prospects and open a multitude of career opportunities from self-employment and entrepreneurship to working in advertising agencies as a graphic designer, creative director, and/or taking part in TV, movie, and theatre productions.
In Interior Design you will learn how to manipulate forms, light, materials, textures and colors in different typologies of spaces and create spaces for people to live or work in, to play or learn, to heal, recover and so on, beyond the scope of space decoration. Moreover, setting and furniture design are also introduced for a more comprehensive learning experience. This is achieved through the development of your abilities to create or transform aesthetically pleasing, functional, safe, healthy and comfortable spaces.
